Museum of Art Eduardo Sívori | Palermo

This is the oldest museum in the city, with a collection of over 4500 art works by Argentinians since 1850, which increases yearly by the addition of works awarded in all disciplines entailed in visual arts. It involves paintings, sculptures, tapestry, drawings and engravings. The building has played important rolls in different fields and times along the city’s history. It started as a Tambo Modelo (milking farm), inside the building structure of 3 de Febrero Park, where the children could enjoy being in contact with all the animals and customs of the rural life. Afterwards, it became the famous café “El Ciervo” (The Deer), which was the favorite meeting point around the “Lakes”. Nowadays it keeps a large collection of Argentine productions.
