In order to get to understand the events that took place during the second half of the 20th century in Argentina and its culture it is essential to know the history of the Peronist party. In this circuit we propose you to do it with Eva Duarte de Peron’s history, who is also known as Evita, a character of Argentinian history around whom a myth was formed. The aim of this circuit is to provide the necessary frame so as to understand the environment in which Peronist party developed and the changes that came thereafter.
This party left its print on buildings, squares and neighborhoods of the city. The circuit begins on the Eva Perón Museum where you will get to know everything about her life and her influences on politics, later you will visit her grave in the Recoleta Cementery, the former Eva Perón non-profit organization (nowadays the seat of the Engineering Univeristy), the C.G.T. and the Casa Rosada and the National Congress house that make up the country’s most important political institutions.
