No one should miss a concert given by one of these “masters” who are still in, and who still make new works and who build new roads for tango. Among them, Raúl Garello, Mariano Mores, Néstor Marconi, Leopoldo Federico, Horacio Salgan, Julio Pane, Atilio Stampone, Osvaldo Berlinghieri, Osvaldo Piro, Rodolfo Mederos in their different orchestras. The singers Rubén Juárez (a very special performer who sings and plays the accordion at the same time), Nelly Omar (the female version of Gardel, who is 94 years old and who still sings the way she used to 20 years ago), Alberto Podestá (one of the most emblematic tango singers of tango’s history), María Graña, Raúl Lavié, Susana Rinaldi, José Angel Trelles (the former singer of Astor Piazzolla) and Guillermo Fernández, among others.
Regarding the orchestras, the “Orquesta de Tango de Buenos Aires” (Tango Orchestra of Buenos Aires) stands out. Its director is Raúl Garello who usually performs on Thursdays at noon at the Presidente Alvear theatre and the “Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina Juan de Dios Filiberto”, conducted by Atilio Stampone and Néstor Marconi, the “Sexteto Mayor”, “Nuevo Quinteto Real”, “Raúl Garello Quinteto”, the “El Arranque” orchestra, among others.
